Christmas Time Sing Together

We are looking to join up with an already existing event at Christmas time to sing a ten minute slot to showcase the great work all the members of the choir will be doing on Shine and Beautiful. If anyone has contacts with existing choirs that are performing in Shropshire during the christmas period prior to 18th December (last day of term) then please get in touch with us asap.

Also, if you’re business is having an event at Christmas time and would like to book the choir to sing Shine & Beautiful for your corporate or business event then please do get in touch with us to discuss supporting the children of Shropshire.

Join The Youth Choir – Poster for you to download and distribute

To help get the choir noticed and get parents and children interested in the Shropshire Youth Choir, of course we need them to hear about us. And the simplest way you can help us is to tell all your friends and family members of course.

But also, a great way for us to publicize our great new choir is to put posters throughout the whole of the county so that those people you don’t know can find out about it too!

So, please Download our “Join the Shropshire Youth Choir” A4 poster by clicking on the link and print it out and put it up anywhere and everywhere you can. And when you have, take a picture of where it is and send the picture to us for our “Where is Your Poster?” gallery.

Where are the best places I can put the poster?

Churches
Schools
Club buildings
Sports Centres
Front window

The above are just examples of places where you may be able to promote the choir by putting up a poster for us. If you think of others then let us know by leaving a response below.

Choir needs an Accompanist

The Shropshire Youth Choir is looking for an accompanist to help with rehearsals. The venue for rehearsals is yet to be finalised, but is expected to be within the Shrewsbury area and rehearsals are expected to be between around 7pm and 9pm on a Wednesday evening.

As we are a not for profit organisition, I’m afraid we can’t pay for the privilege of welcoming you on board but you certainly will be showered with thanks. And of course, the joy of the music should more than make up for it.

We shall be performing a broad range of music with a, hopefully, SATB choir of around 50 to 100 children, and your input on the music chosen to be performed will be most welcome.
