To help get the choir noticed and get parents and children interested in the Shropshire Youth Choir, of course we need them to hear about us. And the simplest way you can help us is to tell all your friends and family members of course.
But also, a great way for us to publicize our great new choir is to put posters throughout the whole of the county so that those people you don’t know can find out about it too!

Robert Harper spoke with John Darvall on his BBC Radio Shropshire program earlier this evening to talk about the reasons why he’s setting up the Shropshire Youth Choir. If you didn’t have the chance to listen, then you can listen to the interview here. It’s about 5 minutes long and you’ll get a little bit of where the idea came from.

The amount of support for the development of the choir has been astounding this last week or so. Since I decided to set up the choir, people have popped up from every angle with well wishes for the cause and many offering assistance in other ways.
I truly am amazed at how keen the people of Shropshire are for me to succeed with my dream to create a Youth Choir for Shropshire and I’m delighted to have been asked by the BBC to go onto John Darvall’s radio show early tomorrow …

The Shropshire Youth Choir is looking for an accompanist to help with rehearsals. The venue for rehearsals is yet to be finalised, but is expected to be within the Shrewsbury area and rehearsals are expected to be between around 7pm and 9pm on a Wednesday evening.
As we are a not for profit organisition, I’m afraid we can’t pay for the privilege of welcoming you on board but you certainly will be showered with thanks. And of course, the joy of the music should more than make up for it.
